Present: Ebeth Edwards, Jim Cole, Keith Edwards, David Chambers
& Barbara Berry, Election Supervisor.
Proceedings: The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by the Chairman, with three members present. K Edwards joined at 9:00 a.m. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved with one wording change upon motion by E Edwards, seconded by J Cole.
Under Old Business, the members:
Briefly discussed By-Laws of the Board of Election, E Edwards asked the board to please study of the submitted By-Laws and be prepared to make a decision at next month’s meeting pending the budget.
J Cole moved to accept (with wording changes) the Intergovernmental Agreement, D Chambers seconded. Agreement will now be delivered to City of LaFayette.
In New Business, members considered:
Miscellaneous sheets of information promulgated by the State, no action required;
A memo from the Reapportionment Office, informational only; Matt will write letter to SOS to request we retire and not replace four TS units that are not functioning.
Upon motion by J Cole, second by D Chambers, voted to remove names of current list of deceased votes from the list of registered voters.
Upon motion by D Chambers, second by J Cole voted to remove names of current list of felons from the list of registered voters.
Noted Mrs. Berry’s request for part time summer help. E Edwards would like to see how the next month goes and discuss in next month’s meeting.
E Edwards spoke with Patti Hart about militia districts. She wrote letter (attached) to Don Oliver.
Motion was made by K Edwards, seconded by D Chambers, for Mrs. Berry to contact IT department for the replacement of her computer that hasn’t worked properly since she received it.
There being no further business, K Edwards moved for adjournment, J Cole seconded the motion and the meeting was adjourned.
